The other day I muttered some not so
kind words about someone I disagreed with about something and
Victoria said to me, “That's not very peace and love Mr. Hippie
dude.” It really is hard to get away with being grumpy or impolite
when you are a long haired, kindness preaching, habitual recycling,
peace sign adorned Hippie. However, that doesn't make me want to
stop waving my Hippie Peace Freak Flag any time soon, in fact, it
makes it all the more important that I keep waving it.
Perhaps not everyone who wears a peace sign t-shirt attempts to hold themselves to the values it symbolizes (or has a wife that does), but I think if a few do, that's a start.
